Other information: A three-story, wood frame cure cottage, built for Reverend Walter Larom the priest of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and his wife Caroline. In 1915, the Laroms rented the house to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Duryea and their six servants. The 1917 health survey showed no TB patients in residence.

Later the house was home to Dr. Edward Welles, a pioneer in thoracic surgery, who practiced at the Adirondack Cottage Sanatorium. There is a second-story, glass-enclosed cure porch on the south side that was built for Walter Larom's brother.

The property included a contributing laboratory, built about the same time as the house.
