Bomyea, 61, of Rensselaer Falls, died Thursday, May 4, 1995 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.<br> + <br> + Born April 17, 1934 in ["Saranac Inn"], he was the son of Charles and Ella Mae (Cobb) Bomyea.<br> + <br> + Mr. Bomyea had been a lifelong resident of ["Lake Clear"] before moving to Rensselaer Falls in 1994. He was a former member of the Saranac Lake Lions Club and the sports council of the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. He had been New York state fire warden for Saranac Inn and was an honorary member of the Rensselaer Falls Fire Department. Mr. Bomyea had been an Adirondack ["guideboat"] builder, working for ["Charles Keough"] and ["Carl Hathaway"]. For most of his life he had been a caretaker at various camps, including ["Pine Rock Camp"]. He retired as head of maintenance at ["The Point"] in June, 1994. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid outdoorsman who liked hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed making models.<br> + <br> + Survivors include his wife, the former Mary LeClair of Brushton; three sons, Richard M. and Mark A., both of Rensselaer Falls, and Phillip S., of Saranac Lake; three daughters, Sr. Deborah A. Bomyea of Oak Park, Ill., Tina L. Blinn of Lake Placid and Susan M. Bomyea-Lewis of Marion, N.C.; a sister, Ruth Rogers of Vermontville; a brother, Frank L.
